coronavirus update - testing of vaccinated persons

1/12/2021

Dear clients,

An update of the methodological instruction of the Chief Hygienist of the Czech Republic has been issued (full text here), according to which vaccinated persons who share a household with a person infected with COVID-19 must be tested. The instruction is valid from 29 November 2021.

If a vaccinated person shares a household with an infected person, even if they do not have symptoms, they are required to:

  • be tested for COVID-19 by RT-PCR test on the 5th - 7th day from the date of collection of the positive sample from the infected person;
  • if the vaccinee is symptomatic, take the test as soon as possible, regardless of date of collection of the positive sample;
  • until a negative RT-PCR test result is received, monitor your health and wear a respirator.

However, the vaccinated person is still not subject to quarantine.

The test to which the vaccinated person is referred by the Regional hygienic station ("Krajská hygienická stanice" in Czech) is covered by public health insurance.

In case of any questions about the above, we of course remain available to you.
