from 18th December 2020 (00:00) the Czech Republic will again find itself in the 4th degree of PES. In this context, we would like to inform you about the content of the new measures as published in the Collection of Laws:

RESTRICTION OF FREE MOVEMENT - from 18th December 2020 (00:00) to 23 December 2020 (23:59)

IT IS PROHIBITED

• Free movement of persons throughout the Czech Republic from 23:00 to 4:59, with the exception of :

- travel to and from business or other similar activity and to the performance of the duties of a public official or constitutional official;

- exercise of the profession;

- the performance of activities to ensure security, internal order and crisis management; health protection, provision of health or social care; public transport and other infrastructure; services for residents, including supplying and distribution services;

- urgent trips, the realization of which is absolutely necessary even at night in order to protect life, health, property or other legally protected interests;

- walking dogs up to 500 meters from the place of residence;

- participation in an allowed mass event;

- trips back to your place of residence.

• Free movement of persons throughout the Czech Republic from 5:00 am to 10:59 pm, with the exception of :

- travel to and from business or other similar activity and to the performance of the duties of a public official or constitutional official;

- the necessary journeys to family or close persons;

- paths strictly necessary to procure basic necessities of life (for example buying food, medicine and medical devices, hygiene goods, cosmetics and other drugstore goods, feed and other necessities for animals), including needs of relatives and close persons, provision of child care, provision of animal care, use of necessary financial and postal services, refueling, waste disposal; in these matters also the journeys strictly necessary for another person (volunteering, neighborhood assistance);

- trips to medical facilities and social services facilities, including providing the necessary escorts for relatives and close persons, and to veterinary care facilities;

- travel for the purpose of settling urgent official matters, including ensuring the necessary accompaniment of relatives and close persons;

- the exercise of a profession or activity designed to ensure security, internal order and crisis management; health protection, provision of health or social care, incl. volunteering activities; public transport and other infrastructure; services for residents, incl. supply and distribution services; veterinary care;

- trips for the purpose of staying in nature or parks and playing sports on outdoor sports grounds;

- trips to and stay in own recreational facilities ;

- journeys for the purpose of departure from the Czech Republic;

- attending a wedding, declaring that they are entering into a registered partnership together, and having a funeral of not more than 20 persons, and visiting the cemetery;

- pathways for the purpose of participation in education including practice and examinations;

- travel for election to the bodies of health insurance companies;

- participation in a allowed mass event;

- participation in a meeting;

- trips back to your place of residence.

IT IS ORDERED

- restrict movement in public places for the time strictly necessary and reside in their place of residence;

- to limit contacts with other persons to what is strictly necessary;

- to stay in publicly accessible places for a maximum of 6 people (exception - household members; employees working for the same employer; persons jointly performing a business or other similar activity; persons who jointly perform an activity to which they are obliged by law, and this activity is necessary to act in a larger number of people, children, pupils and students in the provision of education in schools or school facilities);

- and keep a distance of at least 2 meters when in contact with other persons, if possible;

- employers to use telework if employees can perform it at the place of residence , given the nature of the work and the operating conditions;

RESTRICTIONS

- the right to assemble peacefully - so that each participant is obliged to have respiratory protective equipment (nose, mouth) that prevents the spread of droplets and the assembly must be held only outside the indoor area, it can be attended by a maximum of 100 participants - groups of 20 participants, at least 2 meters (exception - congregations organized by a church / religious society)

RECOMMENDS

- employers - to promote leave and paid leave for employees and similar instruments provided for in the collective agreement; to limit the performance of work that is not significant for the maintenance of the employer's activities;

- maintain a distance of at least 2 meters when contact with other people in public areas (eg when shopping);

- for hygienic reasons, to use non-cash payments as a matter of priority.

RETAIL AND SERVICES - from 18 December 2020 (00:00) to 23 December 2020 (23:59)

IT IS PROHIBITED

• the presence of the public in catering establishments (eg restaurants, pubs, bars), the exception of - establishments which do not serve the public (eg staff catering); school meals; in accommodation establishments

- exception - sale outside the premises of catering services (eg windows, sale of food to take with you), with the proviso that the sale to customers at the place of establishment is prohibited between 23:00 and 4:59;

• concerts and other musical, theatrical, film and other artistic performances including circuses and variety shows with the presence of spectators;

• joint singing of more than 5 people in the interiors of buildings;

• pilgrimages and similar traditional events;

• congresses, educational events and exams in full-time form (with exceptions - overview here );

• trade fairs;

• operation of casinos, betting offices;

• operation and use of indoor sports grounds and indoor outdoor sports grounds, dance studios, gyms and fitness centers;

• operation and use of artificial swimming pools, wellness facilities including saunas, solariums and salt caves;

• visits and tours of zoos and botanical gardens;

• visits and tours of museums, galleries, exhibition spaces, castles, chateaux and similar historical or cultural objects, observatories and planetariums;

• operation of facilities or provision of services to persons aged 6 to 18 focused on activities similar to hobby education (especially hobby, educational, recreational or educational activities, including preparation for teaching);

• providing accommodation (with exceptions - overview here );

• drinking alcoholic beverages in public places; this is without prejudice to the possibility of drinking alcoholic beverages indoors;

• retail sale and sale of services in establishments on public holidays and on other public holidays throughout the day and on other days between 23:00 and 04:59 , provided that this prohibition does not apply to activities which are not trades under the Trade Licensing Act, and for the operation of filling stations with fuels and lubricants; pharmacies; shops in places of increased concentration of passengers at airports, railway stations and bus stations;

• shops in medical facilities;

RESTRICTIONS

• among other things, operation in ski resorts so that the operator observes the following rules:

• the operator of the ski lift or cableway shall ensure the management of queues so that customers are arranged in separate corridors with one-way progress of persons, in a row behind each other, with spacings between persons of at least 2 m, except for household members; the distance between the two corridors is at least 2 m;

• the operator of the ski lift or cableway shall ensure that the seats with cover are mechanically secured against the possibility of closing the cab and have open windows throughout operation;
