the situation is changing turbulently from day to day, so we bring you a brief summary of the current news and responsibilities that the Czech government decided on last night.

STATE OF EMERGENCY

A state of emergency was declared, following on from the existing one, until March 28, 2021.

MOVEMENT RESTRICTIONS – from 1. 3. 2021 to 21. 3. 2021

PROHIBITION - to leave the territory of the district / capital city of Prague - in which the person has a residence / permanent residence

• EXCEPTIONS:

­  - journey to work / entrepreneurial activity;

­  - necessary travel in order to ensure the necessary needs of relatives and relatives and volunteer / neighborhood assistance, incl. provision of childcare, waste disposal and animal care; the necessary path to health equipment, incl. escort and veterinary care;

­  - a trip to deal with urgent official matters; incl. accompanied by relatives and loved ones.

Fulfillment of the exception must be proved by a solemn declaration – i.e. especially if the person performs employment / business activity in one district and resides / resides in another district - their models are available here (paragraph 19).

ORDERS

Employers to use home-office if, given the nature of the work and the operating conditions, employees can do it at the place of permanent residence or domicile.

Ban on free movement:

• between 5:00 and 20:59, except

­  - see above - reasons for traveling outside the district and further:

­  - the necessary journeys for the purpose of purchasing goods and services or providing services in the necessary number of persons;

­  - on trips for the purpose of staying in nature or parks and sports on outdoor sports grounds, under the conditions of joint presence of only members of one household and on the territory of the municipality in which the person has a permanent residence or residence;

­  - on stay in own recreational facility, under the conditions of simultaneous stay of only members of one household in such recreational facility and possible movement of these persons for the purpose of staying in nature or parks and sports on outdoor sports grounds only in the municipality in which this recreational facility is located;

­  - about attending a wedding or a statement by persons stating that they are entering into a registered partnership together, in a number not exceeding 15 persons, or visiting a cemetery.

• between 21:00 and 04:59, except

­  - on trips to work and to perform a business or other similar activity and to perform the duties of a public official or constitutional official;

­  - on the exercise of the profession,

­  - on the performance of activities used to ensure - security, internal order and crisis management; health protection, provision of health or social care; public transport and other infrastructure; services for the population, including supply and distribution services; urgent trips, the realization of which is absolutely necessary even at night in order to protect life, health, property or other legally protected interests;

­  - walking dogs up to 500 meters from the place of residence;

­  - participation in a mass holiday event;

­  - journeys back to your place of residence.

RESTRICTIONS

Holding elections of a body of a legal entity and meetings of a body of a legal entity, with the exception of bodies of territorial self-governing units, so that in the event that more than 10 persons participate in one place:

1. each person uses as a respiratory protective device a medical face mask (surgical drape) or a respirator or half mask without an exhalation valve with a filtration efficiency of at least FFP2, KN95 or N95;

2. persons are set up to keep a minimum spacing of 2 meters, with the exception of household members;

3. each person submits, before the beginning of the meeting, to the convener or another authorized person a confirmation of the negative result of the SARS CoV-2 antigen antigen test or the RTS PCR test for SARS CoV-2 virus carried out no more than 3 days ago;

4. that a meeting is attended by a maximum of 50 persons, unless it is a meeting that is necessary to fulfill the obligations imposed by law, including the choice of body.

CLOSURE OF SCHOOLS AND KINDERGARTENS - from 27. 2. 2021 to 21. 3. 2021

The personal presence of children in pre-school education in kindergartens and the operation of primary schools is prohibited.

WEARING OF RESPIRATORY PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT - from 1. 3. 2021

GENERAL = respirator / surgical drape (or similar) - indoor areas outside the residence; publicly accessible places in the built-up area of the municipality (regardless of the distance from other persons).

STRICT RULES = respirator (or similar device) - in the interiors of buildings that serve as - shop, service establishment, medical facility (including outpatient care), social facility. services, public transport, platform, shelter and waiting room for public transport, in motor vehicles (exception - household members).

ATTENTION CHANGE = exception for persons at the time of work at the workplace or at the time of performing another similar activity for the time when they perform this activity in one place without the presence of another person - ie 2 m intervals are no longer sufficient.

Also applies - exception for persons performing Category III work. and IV. - risk factor for heat load.

SUMMARY - employees are obliged to have a respirator / drape at the workplace for the entire period of work and may take it off only if they perform work in one place without the presence of another person (typically - a separate office); in the event that the employee performs work in a service establishment or shop - he is obliged to have a respirator (ie the rule of 2 veils does not apply again!). This will increase the number of employees who will be required to have protective equipment throughout the shift, who will therefore be entitled to safety breaks at work (during these breaks, employees are entitled to take off mouth and nose protection - however, according to the wording of the measure should be alone in the room, which will undoubtedly be problematic in many workplaces).
